Our Client is a fast-paced manufacturer based in Delta, BC. Looking for a Technical Assistant who is sharp, organized, and genuinely curious about how things get made and delivered. You’ll work across multiple departments — purchasing, production, warehouse, and shipping — supporting the flow of materials, information, and decisions that keep our operation running.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one. You’ll be embedded in our operations team, learning directly from experienced people and contributing to work that matters. If you’re technically inclined, detail-driven, and ready to learn fast, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing Support

• Create and maintain purchase orders within ERP systems
• 
  Track purchase order status and supplier commitments
• 
  Follow up with suppliers regarding delivery dates and order updates
• 
  Expedite critical materials and operational purchases as required
• 
  Monitor material shortages and communicate risks internally
• 
  Maintain purchasing records and supplier information
• 
  Support inventory replenishment activities
• 
  Assist with supplier performance tracking and reporting

Production Support

• Support production scheduling and job tracking activities
• 
  Release work orders and production documentation as required
• 
  Maintain accurate production information within ERP systems
• 
  Track production progress and communicate status updates
• 
  Coordinate information flow between production, purchasing, warehouse, and shipping teams
• 
  Assist with maintaining operational reports and performance metrics
• 
  Support continuous improvement initiatives and process documentation
• 
  Help identify and communicate production bottlenecks or material constraints

Logistics & Shipping Coordination

• Coordinate outbound shipments and freight activities
• 
  Schedule pickups with carriers and transportation providers
• 
  Prepare and maintain shipping documentation
• 
  Track shipments and provide delivery status updates
• 
  Maintain shipment logs and freight records
• 
  Coordinate domestic and cross-border shipments
• 
  Assist with customs and export documentation as required
• 
  Support freight cost tracking and logistics reporting

ERP & Data Management

• Maintain accurate operational data within ERP systems
• 
  Create and update item records, material information, and operational data
• 
  Support inventory accuracy and transaction control
• 
  Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and operational reporting tools
• 
  Assist with data validation and process compliance activities
• 
  Generate reports to support operational decision-making
• 
  Ensure operational records remain accurate and up to date

Work Environment

• Primarily on-site within a manufacturing facility in Delta, BC
• 
  Frequent interaction with purchasing, warehouse, production, shipping, and management teams
• 
  Fast-paced operational environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• 
  Exposure to manufacturing, logistics, and operational processes across the business
