I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC in February 2015.

    Interview

This was a co-op position. The first stage was a phone interview and reception was not so great. He called me, commented on reception quality and said he would try again and hung up, except he didn't and I had to call him back myself. He had a rather thick accent and when I asked him to repeat questions, I could tell he was getting frustrated. Needless to say I did not make it to the next round.

    Interview

It was a phone interview for co-op position and simple but my dog was barking so hard so couldn't answer it properly. The interview was around 10min long and there was no technical question even though the interviewer was a tech savvy.

    Interview

Easy questions. mostly about how company culture. You as a person, the courses you think will help you on the job. Future goals. The interview went very smoothly. The interviewer was well prepared to field all the questions I asked her, and was happy to share her personal experiences with the group, which made for a very successful and worthwhile interview.

it wasnt that hard a lot of behavioural questions and the usual, not much in terms of development or testing there, some simple questions for arrays and lists but overall quite easy to do. expect the usual questions that come up like greatest weaknesses strengths etc.

the person who was supposed to interview me was in a meeting so another person in HR took me into the interview room and conducted it. she had her cell phone on the desk throughout the interview. it vibrated twice. she picked up her phone and did some texting. this all happened while i was answering her questions. no professionalism at all.
