The company is going through some tough transitions......

      Pros

Prior to COVID, company rewarded the staff with subsidized meals, great facilities, hybrid work model. Employees felt recognized. In March 2020 lockdown, company ensured job and financial securities. Implemented wellness programs to keep employees engaged. Overall, showed empathy and understanding about employees' situation at home. Good leadership in general. People are genuinely passionate about making a positive impact on others. Worked with a brilliant, smart and high EQ team, yet humble and care about you as a person and want you to succeed. Suits someone who is ambitious, driven and won't mind working 40+ hours weekly in order to fast track their career. Diversity and inclusion program is in infancy stage. Lots of opportunity to grow in this topic. Good breeding ground for co-ops and interns. Co-op programs run well.

      Cons

A year has passed with no significant changes made to benefits, compensation or perks related to the "new normal" work arrangements. It seems we are still catching up. Work life balance is bad lately. Teams easily working 55+ hours weekly. We have a high performance culture -- but this needs to be redefined. Chaotic due to recent high turnover, especially in HR due to poor leadership and burnt out.

      Pros

They take care of you during the lockdown and are very understanding about everyone's situation at home.

      Cons

Getting a promotion at this company is very hard. It all depends on the project you are on. If you are in a high visibility project, you will get a promotion. If not then you will not be recognized. This also applies to stock options. They company will secretly give out stock options to some employees and not to others. This depends on your relationship with the VPs and SVPs or if you are in a high visibility project or not.

      Getting too big for themselves

      Pros

Collaborative environment and the mission of the organization is spot on.

      Cons

Getting too large to be able to react and make the changes necessary. Becoming more busy work and less about relationship building. Favortism is obvious.

Not what it used to be

      Pros

Great people and good leadership in general. Work from home used to be a great benefit.In-office perks (pre Covid) were great - subsidized meals, gym, beer fridge etc

      Cons

Work-life balance is bad, and as a result of covid, no real benefits to the daily office work either, and most places will have work-from-home as the new normal. Chaotic due to constant change...am yet to see any differentiating work culture factors that would make PCC stand out any more.

      Pros

      - Amazing culture, leadership and people who are genuinely passionate - Meaningful work - making an impact directly on people's lives - Never have worked with so many smart, yet modest and down-to-earth people who care about what we're doing, want to see you succeed and celebrate with you - Promote within and opportunity for growth - Working towards D&I - Rewarded for the work you do and put in - Leadership team is constantly surprising us with new initiatives and programs that engage employees and keep us focused on our mission

      Cons

      - So much changes day to day, it can be frustrating at times but if you see the bigger picture it makes sense and there is reason for it - knowing the WHY behind things is often expressed - Workload is a lot lately, even though the company has prided itself on work-life balance, it ebbs and flows - which is ok but don't lose sight of that being important to people and why they choose PCC - We do so many things so well, Compensation should be one of those things but we can't compete with the bigger software companies like Microsoft, Google, Shopify, etc. (even though we try to) It's a trade off at times (meaningful work, great people and leadership) but compensation is a big driver for people and if we want the best "world-class" team, we have to be prepared to pay for them.
