About the Role
Are you a recent graduate with a sharp mind, a passion for coding, and the drive to build a massive foundation for your career? CommonOffice is looking for an intelligent, high-energy Junior Developer to join our team.
This is not a typical 9-to-5 clock-in, clock-out role. This is an intensive, fast-paced opportunity designed for a true problem solver who isn't afraid of hard work, long hours, and diving deep into complex systems. If you have an innovative mindset—the kind of brain that loves tearing apart complex logic or spending hours solving a tough puzzle or strategy game—you will thrive here.
You will be working closely with our senior experts to learn, maintain, and revolutionize our HR and payroll software applications using modern JavaScript server-side environments and Lotus Notes/Domino architecture.
What You Will Do
- Learn and master XPages development and server-side JavaScript (SSJS).
- Write clean, efficient code to support new HR software modules and AI integrations.
- Collaborate daily with our global development team to troubleshoot and optimize applications.
- Put in the grit and hours required to hit critical development milestones and launch updates.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: A recent graduate from a top-tier college or university computer science/engineering program. Excellent academic standing is highly valued.
- Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript (especially server-side logic), HTML, and CSS. Core Java knowledge is a major asset.
- Communication: Exceptional, fluent written and spoken English.
- Mindset: Highly intelligent, deeply innovative, and naturally curious.
- Work Ethic: A resilient "do-whatever-it-takes" attitude. You genuinely enjoy coding, don't mind working late or putting in long hours to get the job done right, and view hard work as a way to fast-track your skills.
- Bonus Traits: Gamers and strategy-enthusiasts welcome! We love people who think algorithmically and enjoy solving complex challenges in their spare time.
Application Questions
To apply, please include a brief cover letter answering the following questions:
- Have you ever heard of or experimented with XPages? (It is perfectly fine if you haven't, but we want to know your familiarity!)
