    I worked at Manulife full-time

    Pros

Large global insitution with strong brand and financial strength; commitment to honor customer promises and improve customer experience - through a combination of hi-tech and hi-touch. Reasonable compensation and benefits

    Cons

Seemingly never ending rounds of restructuring; employee engagement consistently lower than desired target; can be difficult to experience career development / progression; inadequate mentoring

    I worked at Manulife full-time

    Pros

Great work from home program. allows for good work-life balance

    Cons

Too many re-orgs. With every leadership change comes changes... something one can expect, but these changes last for maybe, 2-3 years until they go back to old ways.

There was pressure to promote people with no managerial or people skills. You maybe able to manage a product, but can you manage people?

    Advice to Management

Work with employees to succeed. Offer timely feedback

I have been working at Manulife full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management and co-workers. Mangers are very nice and understanding. Pushing most employees to work from home (great for those who commute).

    Cons

Very low pay for the job we do and all the information we intake on a daily basis. Training is not much help. Eating lunch at desk to ensure you get all your work done for the day. Taking on co-workers work load when they are on vacation/sick, may be overwhelming at times to complete your own work and then another person’s work.

    Pros

    Decent work-life balance

    Cons

Decision making at the top can be slow at times and bureaucratic.

    Advice to Management

There should be more transparency and clarity in the dissemination of information down the org chart.
