I worked at ZE PowerGroup full-time for less than a year

    Pros

About once a month free lunch

    Cons

Long hours and strict schedule. 8-5 everyday. Also offhour support is needed. Simple and repetitive work, especially for developers. Team will work on custom parsers all day everyday. Management cares about if you are physically there for 9 hours a day, instead of how much work you have done. Someone who stares at screen for a day that does 1 ticket is much valuable than someone who has done 5 tickets a day...

I have been working at ZE PowerGroup full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Only for those who are desperately looking for job to survive.

    Cons

Managers are trained to exploit employees and they will be promoted by keeping their team's cost and salary as low as possible. Most toxic environment. You will be treated like a slave. Painfully low salary. Smart people will be fired or they quit. In one sentence : company exploits valnurable peole like new immigrants and new grads to run its business. This company does not have a HR manager!

      Pros

It's good that they accept new immigrants.

      Cons

They don't value people that's why employees are leaving. Salary is below the industry standard. Knowledgeable employees just leave.

I worked at ZE PowerGroup full-time for more than 3 years

        Pros

Good if you are a fresh graduate or new to Canada. This is a great experience to learn about software and eventually get into ZE clients or data vendors (lots if ex employees now work at client). The software and the work is very interesting specially if you work in Business Solution or Product Team as they are adopting integration with state of the art BI and Stat applications. Employees are nice and helpful; if you...

        Cons

The environment cannot be more toxic. Most of the people cannot wait to leave or stay there in misery until they get their papers or find another opportunity. Lots of people join and leave within weeks or simply get fired. As a result, they are also losing good calibers who don't wont to join as the reputation is very bad. HR tried so hard to make social events to improve the culture but sadly few senior employees control...

        Advice to Management

Be realistic. Don't live in the illusion that you treat your employees well and that you are doing great. You are losing all the senior and clever people and eventually you may lose clients as a result
