If you try to search for current job openings with Geico, you will most likely find lots of openings for Auto Damage Adjuster in any state, in any area. Guess why? Nobody likes the job and wants to stay.
First, after submitting the application and the personality test, I was contacted by a female recruiter in San Diego. Her communication skills were weak, and I was having a very hard time trying to explain things to her (by e-mail). I attempted to reach her by phone (as she claimed she welcomed that) three times on different days, and she would never answer. After checking out her profile on the professional network, her education and the professional background proved that my impression of her was right. She ended up just disappearing on me.
A few weeks later, another recruiter contacted me. He was more professional. I went trough the reading comprehension and visual logic test first, and then me and him we had a short phone interview. His main concern was whether I am truly interested in staying "on the field", basically being an Auto damage adjuster forever, with the opportunity one day (maybe!) to become a supervisor. In about a week later, he called to inform me with the date of in-person interview (which was scheduled 1.5 months away, since him and the team has to come to my area to conduct an interview with several candidates).
I was patiently waiting the whole month... Then I just read all about this crazy role-play game (the final step of an in-person interview) here and the feedback from all people that were Auto Damage Adjusters. I decided that the drawn-out 3-months recruiting process with multiple tests and this role-play game is ridiculous, and called off the in-person interview.
