What is a typical working day like at KPMG?

Horizontal hierarchy, people in general are friendly and helpful, decent pay

heavy workload, expected to answer queries/calls at any time of the day, even late at night

All cons depends on which manager you under, some manager especially senior manager, they don’t give guidance and supervision, when you ask also not bother to reply or never give you a firm answer. Always last minute only ask you to do something, and want it immediately + the thing originally needed or due soon. Can tell you in the midnight or early morning 6am to meet at office 9am which last night you OT late hope to get more sleep or reach office later. When you ask never provide you guidance or answer but after you do wrongly the drama start. I wonder why only manager can comments on staff, but staff can never give comments on manager. Being not reasonable, or too demanding. Ridiculous plotting time. Never respect to lower level of staff.

Big 4. Big joke in india.

No work ethics. People are forced to slog till late night. And forced to work for 15hrs on such works which do not add any value to your CV. Pathetic and horrendous

No work life balance. Partners commit unrealistic time lines to Clients and expect employees to work day and night to meet the deadline. You are asked to work from Client location where the whole team is placed in a conference room and asked to work.(Imagine a team of 10-15 people cramped in a conference room). You are not provided a proper work station. Even if you complain to Human Resources for project change, nothing happens. Partners control everything.
