-Workstyle is TELUS' way of allowing employee to work at mobile locations (home) if so choose to. -Excellent if not the best people in the telecom industry -Diversified company with different streams of revenue means plenty of opportunities to work in different teams and constantly learn new things -company takes employee engagement seriously -good matching pension or rrsp for non union workers and even cushier ones for union workers -'Give where you live' culture is great for giving back to community
Cons
-Speaking of workstyle, the company and your workload will demand every waking minute of your life if you allow it. -it is entirely possible or justifiable to your manager that just because you get to work from home you are expected to deliver double or triple the amount of work of a single headcount. -High competition in the middle management space means teams work in silos and projects become highly political -HR acknowledged salary compensation is lower than industry but didn't have to do anything about it as company relied on workstyle as a perk -Has some new developments (Fibre network) but also has a few worrisome ones (Health, IoT, slowing growth in wireless) -Lots of projects, little or no new insights
