Pros

I worked at the company for about 4 years and had a really excellent team. Depending on the role, there is plenty of Work from Home opportunities and flexible enough with scheduling time off on a whim (again, depending on role).

Cons

- Training was rough, little to know formal training which left me, often times, under too much pressure to perform the tasks I was required to do. My manager was not on site, so I would only receive bits of training when they had time. If I had a question, theres no telling when I could get the answer I need. - Layoffs. Major layoffs, even for tenured employees. When a company is terminating employees in such large numbers you essentially have zero job security. My team was assured we were safe, but lo and behold, 25% of the team was let go, presumably to outsource the jobs to save $. - 5 Presidents over 5 years I believe its at now. That says enough on its own. -Low pay, below average but not complete bottom of the barrel. - Was acquired by Office Depot a couple years ago and since then has been a downward spiral due to poor performance and then Office Depot blaming Compucom, which in turn will result in the layoff of hundreds of employees. Its safe to assume, their next "Business Acceleration Plan" push will also involve eliminating positions. - I would only take a job here if youre in a tough spot, there are plenty of other companies who can offer you more security.

Pros

Most positions within Compucom are easy customer service, IT based jobs. No real skill needed. Great place for someone to start their IT career in.

Cons

Because of the fact that they nearly hire anyone and everyone, the quality of team members you work with is crap. Most people are still learning how to turn on a computer or set up a printer. It's a joke and I feel terrible for the companies which pay for CompuCom's services. Most people who call in have to call in 2 - 3 times to actually have an issue corrected because the first two techs have no idea how to properly troubleshoot issues.

Pros

Great Clients..... still have potential.. if we can get our act together.

Cons

Process and tools all fall short of what one would expect from an established organization that's been in business for a long time. Our revenues are shrinking under current leadership in Canada. Newly acquired by Office Depot makes little business sense for Canada. Healthcare vertical lost direction when they pushed out the team. They have a couple of VP titles who don't have the ability to focus & lead or develop business.
