Pros

Great accessible office location, mandatory training is also a great idea

Cons

- Company culture is horrendous. - CTO/CIO is cynical and mean to staff members, - Non-existent benefit package - Forced to take four days off your allowance after Christmas due office closure - Team overall seems unhappy, having to battle mean brazen comments from the leaders - No sick pay whatsoever. One day missed for example due to illness is a day you will not be paid.

Pros

The team of technical delivery engineers make a conscious effort to integrate you into the company but are limited by the working environment. Bathroom music is elite, props the whoever picks the music.

Cons

Objective cons: Despite being a small company, there is an obvious disconnect in the office between engineers, project managers, HR and the CTO. The technical engineers are treated very poorly. Every break is scrutinised, every task timed (using Toggl Track time tracking software) and no appreciation, understanding or respect is shown for the actual work completed. My manager didn’t understand what the engineers are tasked to do for migrations. As a result, unrealistic targets for tasks are set with requests for constant updates to justify their own position. However, unsure if this was from above. Very high levels of micromanagement. Managers try to catch you out instead of supporting you. Going to the toilet or taking a screen break is seen as stealing from the company. The CTO makes up processes on the spot depending on his mood and seems to dislike his staff based on his interactions with them. Zero company benefits or sick leave, the bonus is also imaginary. Mandatory training is a good concept but there is zero support for it and it’s used as a means of passing probation. The training to be taken is not discussed with you as outlined in the interview. Requests for support to my manager for things like setting up the exam and specifics processes regarding training are met with a shrug. Wages have not been paid 3 months after leaving. Communication was blocked on HR’s end after using an alternate email for contact as my original emails were blocked to resolve payment. This is illegal and was likely intentional. If approached by a recruiter, they will possibly try to reduce your base wage, claiming wages are embedded within the mandatory training, That is not the case, They receive compensation based on getting you into the business and not time served, hence the high turnover. Opinion based cons: Without a doubt the worst place I've ever been worked or even been involved with. Shame I can't give zero stars. The one star reviews are real accounts of people who want to succeed being placed in a terrible/hostile environment so you’ve been warned. Poor leadership, controlling policies and a lack of empathy and ethics towards staff. Even if you are unemployed, avoid at all costs.
