Reporting to the Technical Sales Lead – Western Canada, the Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and successful operation of our sales activities and towards all related work for Score (Canada) Ltd.
The Inside Sales Representative collaborates with the Contract Focal Point (CFP) teams, ensuring efficient operation and communication.
The incumbent will become part of a global organization dedicated to excellence and innovation across multiple industries. The Inside Sales Representative will have the opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive environment that values teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Their work will be carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, work instructions, and comply with legislative requirements. They shall provide sales and order support to the internal Sales and Production teams, and to other divisions within the Score Group of companies.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and sales support to the Technical Sales Lead.
- Open, acknowledge, and record customer enquiries within the company system.
- Solicit and obtain vendor quotations based on customer specifications and requirements.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotes to customers in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with their needs and company standards.
- Convert sales opportunities within the system and issue order acknowledgments upon receipt and review of approved customer purchase orders.
- Generate invoices and maintain accurate electronic job file records within the system.
- Processes a variety of documents, forms, and written correspondence while maintaining a high-level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilizes the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system to create purchase orders while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2000 and ABSA procedures through verification of information and required approvals.
- Participate in weekly sales and operational meetings.
- Expedite vendor activities to ensure on-time delivery and maintain high-levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, quotation, and sales activity records within the CRM system.
- Support revenue growth through proactive follow-up on quotations, customer opportunities, and aftermarket service offerings.
- Collaborate with Repairs and Site Services teams to support valve and parts pricing initiatives, add customer value, and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as reasonably required to support business operations.
- Maintain a high-level of responsiveness to customer inquiries, quotations, and order requests
- Ensure quotations are completed accurately and submitted within established turnaround times
- Meet customer service expectations by maintaining professional communication and timely issue resolution
- Maintain compliance with company quality standards, ISO procedures, and applicable industry regulations
- Maintain quality, safety, and procedural compliance in all sales and operational activities.
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma, supplemented with 2-3 years of related industry experience.
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in sales & marketing is an advantage, although not essential.
- 2-3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related field gained within the Valve, Valve Service (preferred) or Oil & Gas industries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
- Experience gained as part of a globally recognized Valve OEM or a regionally recognized Oil & Gas aftermarket solutions business would be an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of sales techniques, customer engagement strategies, and relationship management
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer support.
- Valve service industry experience would be considered an asset.
- Intermediate knowledge of industrial valves, valve components, and valve maintenance and repair processes.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, technical data sheets, and purchase order requirements.
- Familiarity with valves including gate, globe, ball, check, relief, and control valves would be considered an asset.
- Understanding pressure ratings, materials, trim selections, and valve applications within Oil & Gas and industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, and ABSA standards would be considered an asset.
- Ability to review technical documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to order processing.

- Work in indoor office environment 100% of the time.
