Got an email from HR for the online Analytics Test. There are 32 questions with 2 CSV dataset files, as well as some essay type questions. Time is tight in answering all questions.
After passing the Analytics Test, I got an email to schedule the phone interview one week later.
The phone interview was a completely horrible experience. First, the HR was late and called me 30 mins after the scheduled timeslot. Second, she called in a room which the reception was extremely poor and I could hardly hear what she was talking about. The HR also did not really pay attention to what you had said, in which I had to repeat the things that I have mentioned just a min ago again. Third, the HR was being cold and discouraging in the way that she replied. In the end the phone interview only lasted for 15 mins. The whole experience was the worst of all. The HR was disrespectful, unprofessional and dismotivating. Seriously they need to respect the candidates, simply not to let people wait for 30 mins without any email notice. Can they let the customers wait for the drivers for 30 mins without any follow-up? Also, how could a big corporation like Uber, having an office with such lousy phone call reception?
I have prepared well for this interview, read through a lot of Glassdoor reviews, practiced with my friends, studied the Uber business model, etc. My work experience is also a good match with the job description. It is shameful that the HR completely ruined the image I have for this company. What's more, in the rejection email, she even quoted a wrong position in the email subject title that I have never applied for. How professional this HR is!
