I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Louisville, KY) in Mar 2011
Interview
They asked very standard and simple interview questions. I wasn't really impressed with the interview, but it's turned out to be an alright job. They wanted to know interests for future training.

Question 1
They asked about interests, how I would have adversity, etc.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Coquitlam, BC)
Interview
Very easy - basically questions are mostly on availability. They want to have enough people, especially on weekends. Important to show experience in customer service. Also cashier experience is a plus.
They call you and do a phone interview and then they get in the interview and ask you basic question about the position at hand. Like able to lift, read, explain, solve their issue on any DIY projects they're doing
Interview process was okay. From the beginning I was made feel comfortable and felt respected throughout the entire process from the beginning to the end. Got a good idea of what it would be like to work here
