Does there seem to be diversity at IKEA?

...Terrible lack of department leadership, no sense of direction, and 'senior' management are just a bunch of completely disconnected homogenous whitewash of the usual suspects with a sprinkling of granola for diversity of course....Read More

I applied online. I interviewed at IKEA (France)

    Interview

Hej! My name is Liberty Sagucio-Nittel and I’m a People & Culture Generalist at IKEA Burbank. I was born and raised in Los Angeles after my parents came to the U.S. from the Philippines to pursue a better life for our family. Although I wasn’t born in the motherland or may not speak Tagalog, my parents always stressed that it doesn’t make me any less Filipino than them! While my parents assimilated to American culture, they always made sure to instill in me the importance of our Filipino traditions and culture – which I hope to do for my daughter and her children. They taught me to love & support family unconditionally, respect our elders and that it’s okay to eat rice and fried eggs with a spoon and a fork! 😊

Hej! I’m Mai Chau and I’m part of the Talent Acquisition team at IKEA U.S., where I have the opportunity to recruit and hire for new businesses across the country. Celebrating #AAPIHeritageMonth means celebrating my favorite things about Vietnamese culture. One of my favorite holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), is when my entire family gets together to wish each other good luck and hope for the best during the new year while giving all the children li xi (lucky money). To us, gift giving is a sign of love and respect to our friends and family and is a huge part of the Vietnamese culture. What are you celebrating this Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month?
