I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Starbucks (Orlando, FL) in Oct 2010
Interview
Was contacted by phone to schedule an interview the following day. Immediately, when I arrived, I was offered a beverage and told to wait for a moment. A few minutes later, the interviewer came over to speak with me. The interview itself lasted about an hour, with the interviewer talking mostly about herself. A few of the other employees stood off to the side, judging me during the interview. I should have taken that as an warning. I was offer the position immediately but another young girl, who was interviewed the same day, was called in for a second interview before being offered the job. This apparently is standard practice at this particular location.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
