      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LiveRamp in Sep 2016

      Interview

After speaking to the recruiters at a career fair, I was given a phone screen. During the phone screen, I was asked a few minutes of behavioral questions (very few behavioral questions, considering the breadth of the other internships I'd had before interviewing here), and then asked to describe what exactly LiveRamp does. This wasn't an easy task, because I have yet to find an employee of this company who can succinctly describe what they do in layman's terms. After that, I was asked two relatively simple brainteasers, one of which I completely messed up. It's a shame that this company places so much emphasis on simple brainteasers rather than comprehensive questions about my experience or technical questions.

Tell me about yourself. Describe what LiveRamp does.

Hello! We appreciate your feedback and truly do use this to tweak our interviewing process. It is unfortunate that you feel we didn't evaluate your skills/background effectively. However, we use these critical/analytical thinking questions to determine a candidates ability to 1.) ask clarifying questions, 2.) showcase their technical skillset, and 3.) explain their thought processes in a clear & concise manner. The comprehensive interview process is designed to vet for different aspects of the candidate's experience and skillsets. In the second phone screen, we focus more on behavioral anecdotes and client-facing abilities. Although it didn't work out this time around, we hope that you keep us in mind for future opportunities.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at LiveRamp (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2020

      Interview

Overall decent, most of my interviewers were kind and respectful. I had one interviewer that seemed like they would rather do literally anything else in the world and had an enormous ego from start to finish. Was really offputting and I was surprised when they mentioned they were a mentor to many in the program.

How would you manage an acquistion of a new business line?

Thank you for taking the time to share your interview experience for the TERM Program. Your feedback is important and will be taking into account as we train new interviewers and coach those who have been interviewing in the past. In no way should a candidate ever walk away from an interview feeling the way you were made to feel during your interview last year. I am happy to say that we have launched an interviewer training program that will hopefully alleviate such things from happening in the future. While your experience was less than ideal with that specific interviewer, I hope that you will consider LiveRamp in the future. All the best on your career search! -Erika

      Application

      Interview

I interviewed in March 2019 I saw a link to the application page on my university career site. After applying online I was sent a link to do a Hirevue virtual interview 12 hours later. I did the online interview. I think it was just 4 questions with 3 minutes total to respond to each one and 30 seconds to prepare. The questions were fairly straightforward as other people on here have mentioned. Talk about yourself, interests, why Liveramp, etc. I heard nothing for 3 weeks until they emailed me, asking me to schedule a phone interview, which I did for the following week. None of the questions really took me by surprise and I thought it went well. I interviewed with a girl who was only 18 months into her rotation with the Term Program. They emailed me two days later and told me it did not work out. There were a few behavioral questions, followed by a kind of case questions (which took about 10-15 minutes)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself, why Liveramp and why the Term Program? (if you don't address each part of the question they will prod you to answer more specifically) Tell me about a time you've set a goal for yourself. What have you been doing since your last job? If placed into the TERM Program which rotations would you be interested in doing? And the case questions which took up half the interview: if you ran the marketing team for some generic company, and you were overloaded by requests, how would you go about prioritizing the requests knowing that you could only address about 25% of them? (after I answered I got several follow up questions) a. how would you prioritize external requests, such as from clients b. what it the single most important factor when determining the priorities c. what are the 3 most important factors when determining the priorities d. what if a c level executive came and told you do make something a priority, but your manager told you not to make that a priority, what would you do? e. give me a summary of everything you just told me about making your priorities and these decisions

Thank you for sharing your interview experience with us. Our goal is to evaluate video interviews within one week of submission and we apologize if yours was delayed. We typically have members of our current TERM program conduct the phone interview as they are the most honed in on program and help candidates get a sense of the program. We wish you the best of luck in your career search!

      Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at LiveRamp (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

LiveRamp's interview process was one of the best I've ever experienced. They moved quickly, asked smart and reasonable questions, and avoided repeating questions in multiple interviews. After applying, I was invited to complete a HireVue (one way video assessment). The questions were mostly behavioral; one or two asked about LiveRamp. Within a day or two of completing it, a recruiter reached out to schedule a phone interview. The person I spoke with was nice and the questions were reasonable. At the conclusion of the interview, the interviewer told me I would advance to the onsite round. I wish all companies did this. The onsite was a lot of fun. The company's offices are beautiful and the people are great. Part of the onsite is giving a presentation that you prepare in advance. This is great way to let candidates put their best foot forward. The people I presented to asked smart and insightful follow up questions and left plenty of time for me to ask my own.
