    Pros

    It's been a while since I left Clio. As I've just passed my year mark since leaving, it seemed fitting to reflect on my time there.

    Growth (if you want it):
    Clio is an amazing company that is full of opportunity for the right people. But it's not going to be handed to you; you have to want it. I wanted something meaningful, so I worked my tail off to figure out how to be a manager. Clio gave me that chance and changed the course of my career. I got to hire and develop countless clions over the years. Now, I'm doing it at another company.

    Challenging work:
    No two days will be the same at this company. If you want your days to be predictable, don't come here. Things are always moving. Even with massive investments and bring the industry leader... You're always going to face new challenges. Which can be a huge burden on some days - and a blessing on others.

    They invest in leaders:
    Clio offers their leadership "basecamp" to any leaders in the business. If you are managing people, you will get a chance to learn an incredible set of people skills that you can carry with you for your whole professional life.

    The people:
    I will never again work at a company with SO MANY amazing people. Period.

    Cons

    Compensation is always a tough line to walk. Frankly, the front lines don't get the comp they deserve (especially for what is expected of them.)

    Hustle is real, but so is burnout. Sometimes Clio seems to forget that. Work smart, not hard.

    Advice to Management

    Don't forget who you are and what makes you special. Clio is an unforgettable stop on people's career journey... Don't lose sight of that.

    And don't take the front line teams for granted - they are the best of the best and give so much of themselves every single day.

    I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Clio (Toronto, ON).

    Interview

    3 steps over a course of 3 months - HR screen, interview with hiring manager, and finally a 2hr full-blown real business case presentation to department panel, immediately followed by a stakeholder panel interview

    After reading through most interview experiences, this appears to be the MO for the hiring process. It reinforces the notion that potential candidates are doing and solving business challenges as assignments for free in the hopes of joining the team

    The job description also kept changing over the course of the weeks/months
