While transitioning my career from a low regarded, boring, painful phone based tech support job (that is the perception of such a job in India) no matter how elite the client is (mine was one of the 'elite'est ), a staffing firm, Magna Infotech, from Indiranagar, Bangalore called me out of the blue one fine day and offered me this title for Chase due to my background with supporting Outlook. In a couple of hours a phone Interview was set from Chase HQ in NYC and i got the call from my future boss. The interview was very cool, professional yet relaxed. The interviewer was very nice to me in all regards and let me answer the questions at my pace, patiently listening to all i had to say. I was a little nervous though (while I'm never nervous at any other interviews) and took lot of words to describe little things like my previous work experience with outlook, its working and PST files. Just 4-5 questions, total interview time of < 20 mins and we're done.
Next day i get a call from Magna, the lady playfully asking me to guess why she called. I say, most nonchalantly, 'I'm hired'. Salary discussions with Magna took a while (3 hours) to negotiate on a good figure. INR 280k is not a great amount but not so bad to begin with. There was just one round of interview and that too <20 mins......amazing ! isn't it. Overall, very professional company, don't waste time attitude, interviews depend on requirements -- can be long, grilling too. They retain only smart workers hence Smart People in office everywhere, formally dressed all weekdays which is something i like and liked to do myself. Destiny matters in life, as did this job walk in my life without me least expecting such a thing
