I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time

    Pros

JP Morgan is one of the best places to work. They have top notch experts in every level of the organization and Jamie Dimon is one of the best CEOs in the industry.

    Cons

The company is very large and moving within the firm can be difficult.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Depending on location, colleagues make for a great work environment and company takes steps to advance female employees.

    Cons

Lots of self-serving managers who don't understand corporate procedures and mislead their direct reports and then wash their hands off the matter.

    Advice to Management

Spend time on training the managers. Invest in your employees and ensure that the company actually follows up on its mobility promises instead to telling employees that it will only do so much to help them move for a good opportunity.

    I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time

    Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with. Great benefits.

    Cons

Very bad management The manager and supervisors had favorites and always gave them the advantage. Some managers have tunnel vision with micro-managing skills. Good people are leaving and senior management does not care, they treated people just as numbers. I am happy that I no longer am part of that.

    Advice to Management

    Change your management

    Pros

Amazing colleagues, culture and career opps.

    Cons

At times, unnecessary bureaucracy got in the way of getting things done quickly.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on well-being initiatives for employees and look at ways to offer more flexible working arrangements for all.

    Pros

The people I worked with were great!

    Cons

The management is not professional. Promotes based on favorites not on work performance.

    Advice to Management

Toronto Lockbox needs upper management to come to Canada and open there eyes as to what is actually going on in the dept. Also take a look at how many long employees that have been with JP for 10+ years have left this past year??? Open your eyes.
