I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DoorDash (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Recruiter, hiring manager, case study take home assessment, and panel interview with 2 senior managers and a director. Was interviewing for a few months and was rejected after all of these rounds. Definitely agree with suspicious practices of DoorDash from other reviews as I also interviewed for a Senior Associate, S&O role and was rejected after the take home assessment. Doesn't really seem like they're hiring and also seems like a high-stress, work very hard environment. No feedback after the interviews, so no basis for what the rejection was based off.

Question 1
What variables would you look at to determine success of a test launch for new features? Cross-functional behavioral questions.
Had a phone screener with a recruiter who very clearly did not want to be there and just asked typical generic questions about my background, communication styles, etc. Was given a take home case study and short SQL exercise and given 48 hours to return it (which I spent most of my weekend on) only to receive an auto reject email two days later. I did not get to speak to the hiring manager or anyone on the team I applied for.
Fairly simple recruiting process. Intro chat with recruiter, case study round, debrief of case study, then final round in office with team. Was given an Excel sheet full of transaction data and asked to put together a client-ready deck of slides with insights (graphs encouraged) and recommendations based on what was found.

I went through two rounds, with HR and my would-be manager. Both were fairly straightforward. I did think the manager interview went well, but no dice. I believe they look for a certain style in approach that needs some research.
