      Interview

First a screening call with HR, then a take home analytical test, followed by two virtual panel interview rounds with 2-3 people each round. Some of the interviews were behavioral and some were analytical.

I interviewed at DoorDash in May 2020

      Interview

After a few positive initial conversations I was contacted by an HR coordinator notifying me that I was being moved to the next phase, which was a take home assessment that I would have 48 hours to complete and when would I like for them to send the test. I responded asking them to send EOD on Friday (the following day) and received confirmation that I should expect it at that time. After hearing nothing Friday evening I reached back out. Nothing on Saturday, Sunday, finally on Monday morning the coordinator responded that she would send the test that day. This was extremely frustrating because I had planned to spend the weekend completing the test since I had a really busy week at my current job. She said I could wait and start on Wednesday and return to her on Thursday which I did. I followed up a week later and heard nothing. Finally another week later I received an automated email that they had closed the position. Completely understand that I may not have been the right candidate however, if you are asking someone to spend a significant amount of uncompensated time on an assessment and then don't even have the courtesy to have a person follow up, compounded with the fact that my process was delayed by a week becuase of oversight on your end, I'm not sure you are a place I would have wanted to be anways. Something to consider for those of you considering DD.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash in Jun 2025

      Interview

Had a recent interview process that started off fine but ended up feeling like a waste of time. The initial phone screen with the recruiter was positive (straightforward, professional, and gave me a good sense of the role). But the hiring manager interview was… odd. They gave a quick rundown of the position, asked me one question (“tell me about your background”), and that was pretty much it. No real follow-up, no questions about my relevant experience, and no opportunity to actually talk about what I could bring to the role. It didn’t feel like a real interview - more like a box they had to check. So I wasn’t surprised to hear I wasn’t moving forward. Just disappointed that there wasn’t any meaningful conversation or engagement. Felt like a missed opportunity all around.
