I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash in Sep 2025
Interview
Interview was so horrible, I quit looking for jobs, in the job description they mention 2-3 years of analyst experience, but in the 2nd round the VP said that they are interviewing Consultants with 5-7 years of experience and cut my interview short.
I am extremely disappointed by the incorrect job description and going through the interview process was embarrassing and a waste of my time. I also submitted a case that i worked on for 10 hours. Doordash is straight up scamming
Had a phone screener with a recruiter who very clearly did not want to be there and just asked typical generic questions about my background, communication styles, etc. Was given a take home case study and short SQL exercise and given 48 hours to return it (which I spent most of my weekend on) only to receive an auto reject email two days later. I did not get to speak to the hiring manager or anyone on the team I applied for.
Fairly simple recruiting process. Intro chat with recruiter, case study round, debrief of case study, then final round in office with team. Was given an Excel sheet full of transaction data and asked to put together a client-ready deck of slides with insights (graphs encouraged) and recommendations based on what was found.

I went through two rounds, with HR and my would-be manager. Both were fairly straightforward. I did think the manager interview went well, but no dice. I believe they look for a certain style in approach that needs some research.
