I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton
Interview
I sat in a room and three different hiring managers came to me and asked me questions 1:1. 30 min for each person. It was very laid back and enjoyable. Basically just a nice conversation.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Washington, DC) in Oct 2010
Interview
I originally missed the deadline to sign up for an on-campus interview. However, I applied on the BAH website anyway. A recruiter called me two days before the interview and asked if I was interested in interviewing. I said yes. The first part of the process was an optional on campus BAH overview presentation to just get to know the company. The next day I interviewed with both the recruiter who had contacted me and a different consultant, each individually. The first was a general interview and the second was a technical interview (I didn't know any answers to the technical questions because they were all regarding the consultant's field of study which was not the same as mine). After the interviews I waited a month without hearing anything. I contacted the recruiter who said they were working on a placement for me. Another month later I finally got an offer. The offer was very vague with no job description, but they said if I accepted I would be placed on a team in 3-4 months.
Overall the people I contacted were nice and helpful and seemed very interested in what they did. As a bonus, after the first month my recruiter got me in touch with a recent hire from my college who I could talk with regarding the company and any career related topics.
