I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Columbia, SC) in Dec 2013
Interview
AIL assigns people to call EVERYONE who posts a resume online. They call you for an "interview" which turns out to be a large room full of people, known in the industry as a "cattle call." Together you get a very biased sales pitch. You also get a one-to-one interview that is basically intended to push you into signing up. Then they do another interview intended to close the deal. You don't find out until farther along that you are going to have to pay for your training, exams and equipment.

Question 1
What is the difference between a manager and a leader?
I interviewed at American Income Life (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Interview so far was fair, mainly a presentation about the company, in group setting, with a manager 1:1 afterwards. Overall more a discussion than an interview, with a signup to start learning for the licensing exam.
I interviewed at American Income Life (Las Vegas, NV)
Interview
Overview video was watched. Also answered some questions at the end. Once questions are reviewed someone will reach out (if thought to be a good fit ) for a second interview. This part could take anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours. Once on to next step an interview will be conducted via zoom.
You’ll first receive an invitation to watch an introductory video. Then, you’ll be invited to a group presentation. After that, you’ll complete a one-on-one interview with a manager before getting hired.
