Does lululemon offer massages?

Pros

- You can earn a bonus if you hit your quotes of 5-6 phone calls, 9 emails, 6-7 chats/ per hr and get 80% on your randomly selected audit of guest interactions - Discounts full-time 60% off reg, 75%(org price) off WMTM personal ONLY, I Love You Man discount (60% of REG, 40% of WMTM) - discount link can be shared a few times a year to friends and family - Health benefits if eligible is great 80% of dental converted, massages, up to $2,000 in therapy, vision - $250 Sweaty Pursuits benefit for full-time, it may be different for part-time - $180 quarter expense for WFH internet, electricity -$500 for home office desk, chair, mouse, keyboard, 2nd monitor - fun contests to incentive and stay motivated and connected while working remotely - spotlight awards by peers and managers, you are rewarded when you're doing well - I had a great TeamLead and most people did, however, operations managers seem to make the decisions to stay beyond a contract - MS Team is a great way to create/have a support group - put in a request for learn/practice time while on shift

Cons

- you have to have thick skin when people rip you a new one daily - things move quickly, be ready to pivot! learn quickly people will be giving your feedback to guests and peers! Its actually a good thing - despite significate experience related to advancement/ transferable skills there is a bias towards white employees and friends of the white managers - store and senior managers are not honest(one for the core values) when discussing why there isn't a contract extension or alternative opportunities for apparent "great work" - I worked a 3.5-month contract and was NOT eligible for health benefits for the half-month after my probationary period - 8hr shifts at a desk isn't for everyone, I got a standing desk - temp contact role means lululemon has the control, so if you only had 1 interview and get the job they are desperate to fill for short term - although it is advertised that transitioning out to guest and services are available interviews/resueme its all lip-service for colored people most the people in these roles where educators and aren't qualified to review your resume - young inexperienced managers did pull rank they have a superiority complex, they're young and learning to people manage --- can't fast track everyone!

Advice to Management

- implementing diversity initiatives are nice but why are people who are in a position to hire/pass ALL white? - hiring team NEEDS to have people of colour to eliminate white bias in hiring - contract employees should have benefits start from date one since there is a set hourly rate depending on what city you live in $15.45 for Mississauga - paid sick days are accrued but Youlu(company intranet) vaguely indicates how those hours can be used - apparently at the manager's discretion/adjuster. It seems you have to work very hard just to actually use these sick hours - if you read my cons&pros the experience of what you're signing up for is pretty good. But let's be real it isn't as honest and transparent as it's advertised during on-boarding and in the interview. -as a coloured person who is very seasoned, I certainly exhibit qualities for other roles. I vocalized my interest to both my TL and HR from the beginning but there were no actual steps to support me to advance, seems like personal biases played a huge factor

Health benefits if eligible is great 80% of dental converted, massages, up to $2,000 in therapy, vision

Does lululemon offer dental insurance?

Pros

Five stars because it’s great for retail. Health insurance, vision and dental included, employee share plan, retirement/401k with match, mental health/EAP options, fun, authentic, great feedback culture built into all levels of management that can help keep power-hungry middle management at bay, great discount, great strides made in the last year to focus on diversity, inclusion, equity and action,

Cons

Hours are far from a regular 9-5, occasional odd hours, weekend day required, customer service dealing with the boujie side of the general public, possibly working with inexperienced/first job type folks that are fresh but occasionally naive (but to be expected in a retail environment!)

Advice to Management

The greatest thing you can do to help grow your people is to advocate for them at every level. We are fortunate to get so many young people with so much drive - investing in them (yes, like, with money!) and helping them learn how to self-advocate is such an incredible gift. It’s no secret lululemon isn’t a “forever” career for a lot of our employee base. Keep working on IDEA!

Does lululemon offer a wellness program?

Pros

Great and generous wellness benefits, excellent employee discount, good amt of freebies

Cons

The culture can be a bit suffocating. If you don’t “fit the mold” of your team, you may be ostracized. This is very noticeable and sucks pretty bad because the nature of the job is highly collaborative.

Advice to Management

Please encourage the team to include everybody. Diversity is only beneficial if the team’s diversity is as integrated as everyone else.
