Pros
Great company culture, great benefits and pension plan.
Cons
Pay is average and bonus got changed a few years ago.
Pros
Benefits cannot be compared with similar industries— 8% 401k match, 1% pension, $10k annual in education benefits which includes graduate level and certifications, 12 weeks parental leave, I pay roughly $250/pp for my family’s healthcare insurance (it’s ok the coverage) still much cheaper then my peers at other banks…. I have a lot in my plate but still a lot of flexibility. My boss is awesome. The smartest woman and I’ve learned so much from her in a short period.
Cons
Not sure what upward mobility looks like if you are remote. New mgmt in the air so we shall see how the culture shifts.
Pros
Good retirement benefits and pension also available
Cons
USAA use to be company which gives employee a priority, but at present they dont want to listen to employee. The promised made to the emplyee is never honoured. Eg( they hired employees as remote and later forced them to be at office). It has been more like a hostile environment, and employee satisficaction has been all time low consistentily.
Pros
USAA benefits are excellent amongst big corporations. Ie good pay, bonuses, 200% match on first 4% contribution, 3% pension , $2500 annual insurance subsidy, ability to buy/sell PTO. I am really fortunate because I enjoy what I do, have a (mostly) awesome team and am compensated well. I think all that translates to my overall satisfaction. I’ve been working for nearly 30 years in the data space and right now, the stars seem aligned. I wouldn’t mind staying here until I retire.
Cons
Almost no remote jobs, very little career mobility, frequent layoffs that just won’t stop create low morale and instability. It’s not a once and done deal . It’s “let’s see if we can make the cut this week”. As with any big companies, there will always be high performers and low performers . I prefer let’s just rip off the bandaid and get it done so that rest can focus .
Pros
The pay and the benefits included the 401k and the pension.
Cons
You have to be disciplined. It’s hard work.
Pros
I have worked at several banks big and small throughout 20 years in the industry. This is the best bank I have worked at. The benefits are great and include pension and 401k contributions. I have saved more in 4 years than the first 20 of my career. The company asks for feedback and actually tries to improve benefits. I worked hard and was rewarded with several promotions in my few years there.
Cons
Only con at this point is the going back into office movement. I enjoy working from home and am productive. I am not looking forward to the increased days required especially since my teammates work at other locations so we end up on zoom anyway.
Pros
great benefits, and a pension
Cons
everything is based on a metrics system, everything from you AHT (average handle time),compliance, adherence, survey scores, and god for bid if you need to go into aux 5 for a bathroom break, you are allowed only 7 minutes.everything over that they require you to use your PTO.Very stressful Environment, with a very high turn over rate,And as far as supervisors good luck on finding one for assistance if you work on sundays and mondays,There were times i had to put a member on hold and walk to the other side of the building for assistance,And if you call the help line too much you are also reprimanded for it.They want you to put the members first but reprimand you if your on the phone too long with them,My mental health and stress level was really high while employed there,Unless your licensed for insurance which is a less stressful position, stay away from the banking side of it.
Pros
Great benefits love getting a pension the
Cons
The new CEO IS AWFUL! USAA will not allow their remote employees to apply for other internal positions but they won’t come out and be transparent about it. They are only hiring external new employees in that can work onsite. There are 0 opportunities for internal remote workers regardless of degrees, experience and proven track record. Best advice if you are remote leave USAA!
Pros
Vacation time, parental leave, flexibility, pension
Cons
Not remote, lied about staying remote
Pros
401k , pension and pto is awesome
Cons
not applicable usaa is an awesome company
