Pros

More junior people were nice

Cons

The most toxic agency I’ve worked at, the turnover rate was shocking - every other week another person handing in their notice. From the migration of agenda21 to WIM, there was a massive bout of hiring grads who are expected to pick up manager’s jobs at VERY low pay. I’ve not heard anything quite like it and wouldn’t recommend. Expected to work until midnight with little recognition. The worst part is is Senior management who are blind to it all. Don’t work here!

Going downhill

Pros

Good people at the lower levels, close knit teams, Great DE&I initiative

Cons

Since changing to Walk-in Media from Agenda 21 the company has steadily gone downhill from an employee perspective. The Senior Management sees people as objects instead of people and only care about financial gains, rather than genuinely recognising employee achievements and hard work. For example, employees need to apply to win a company award and there must be "demonstrable financial returns" in order to qualify, excluding a large number of employees such as finance or HR staff from even entering. It's essentially saying, "if you don't make money for the company you are not worth our time". There also seems to be little trust for employees to work from home effectively despite doing it for 18+ months. Not only this but there is definitely a "1 rule for Management, 1 rule for Employees" attitude, particularly when it comes to remote working. All employees are expected to be in the office on time at least 3 days a week, whereas more senior members of the company rarely turn up even once a week and definitely not on-time. Additionally, we have been told we can't come in on the same days each week (because why would we want a regular routine) and "not to come in on days just because your friends are also going in". This disregard for employee's friendships or personal lives exemplifies the backwards attitude the senior management has towards its employees and remote working.

Don't bother

Pros

Hybrid working Good location (Covent Garden) Nice office space A few decent individuals Wider agency group / parent company (MSQ) is lovely

Cons

Toxic environment. Awful Senior Leadership Team and CEO. Nepotism-esque feel where the CEO only employees his friends and gives special treatment to his golden circle - if you're not in it, don't expect a look in. Over-run by Grads who are either overworked and under-appreciated or entitled and with no basic business principles or respect. Gossip is rife, clicks are ridiculous, you will feel like you are at school by how childish and two faced most of the people are. False promises by management are common. Pay is below industry average. Culture is verging on non-existent - socials are few and far between because most people can't stand the false atmosphere. No proper training schemes for employees at any level. Deceitful manner of work.
