      Pros

Inspiring people all around, they mostly seem good hearted and all want the best in terms of promoting a good work environments. There are a lot of opportunities and projects to work on. Moving internally is also sometimes an opportunity. Inclusive Employee Resource groups. I have supportive Managers who don’t micromanage and give me great feedback. Managers take trainings. Amazing projects in production, beyond that even. Great things coming.

      Cons

Level system for seniority can be challenging, but based on clear and transparent criteria which is helpful.

      Great place to work

Nov. 15, 2022 - IT Manager in Montreal, QC

      Business Outlook

      Pros

There are many very talented members working at Ubisoft, it makes collaborating with different groups efficient and productive. The work life balance in IT is fantastic as the organization has kept a hybrid work environment since the pandemic for most roles. WFH is entirely at the members' discretion. If you want to go to the office, you can reserve a desk, but there is very little pressure to turn up on a regularly scheduled basis.

      Cons

It can be difficult to get a more senior title in this organization despite consistently having strong and outstanding performance reviews in year end evaluations. That being said, they somewhat get around this by increasing your job level within your current role, which comes with a better salary scale. This can have a negative impact on your prospects for career progression outside of the organization, as in my experience, many companies are looking to see consistent career growth through title changes (Team Lead to Manager, Manager to Associate Director, etc.) when evaluating different profiles. So, ultimately, the con I've listed is very minor unless you're looking to hop between companies every 2-3 years in an effort to secure the highest possible title in the least amount of time.

      Cons

There is some rigidity in the team structure Many worker vacancies due to the large size of each project Low percentile of contribution per project by each worker
