As I got through my career progression, I was roadblocked by 'Projects' that seemed to nearly be impossible to conquer. This paired with a few rotating staff made life a bit difficult at times, but I voiced my opinions thoroughly with my manager as I believed these staff members to be quite beneficial to our team but were instead leaving for some of the opinions I share here.
I believe the career progression can be tweaked to make career path a bit more personal, but I find the early stages to be quite beneficial. You will receive a lot of tickets, but this can also be a boon, as you will be touching a lot of technology from different teams. Take on the task, and you can find that your knowledge will grow exponentially as you progress through different hardware stacks and troubleshooting methods.
