Pros

Wow, this was the last thing I would have expected someone to write about our 21-year-old company. I appreciate the feedback and I’m sorry these concerns could not have been addressed previously. As a small business, we strive to find candidates with similar work ethic, aptitude, and attitude. Sometimes this means that we let people go early on during the first 90 days which was the case here. In fact, we had two existing employees congratulate management on our swift decisions to remove the "imperfect fits" to our team quickly while keeping the other great team members (some who have been with us for over 10 years) productive, happy and engaged. It's true, we have a small office and a family-oriented team of professional (and oftentimes quiet) individuals who peacefully create and support great software using FileMaker Pro for clients all over the world. And yes, most of us do work in cubes, not unlike most small offices these days. The office suite is bright having large windows and/or sliding doors on 3 out of 4 sides of the suite providing for more than average natural light for people. And because we are located in beautiful North County San Diego, we often times have the doors and windows open allowing the fresh air in on all sides of the suite. Every development employee has a new Mac or Windows box (not monitored) because we build software for both platforms with up to three large, 27" monitors to get their work done. Every desk for every employee is equipped with a "stand up" option and we allow for everyone to buy a chair of their choosing that best fits their comfort and style.

Cons

It's too bad this disgruntled trainee was let go so quickly because our Christmas party shortly thereafter treated the employees to a 1/2 day off with pay that included a company lunch and the new Star Wars movie. We then presented "Star Wars" awards to selected staff members congratulating them on a job well done in various areas of their position. We do large events like this at least twice a year with other lunches/fun activities at least once a month.

Pros

Nothing good... terrible cubicles with no windows... sick co-workers coughing... FileMaker is deadend technology... be sure to have a backup plan before dealing with them... these wolves have teeth

Cons

Windows machines everything is monitored... cubicle is stacked like rats... people can be fired at a drop of hat... You will be offered low pay... and they expect to you be happy about it... no benefits for 90 days... They will let you go 'At-Will'.
