It's a business - do the work, get paid

      Pros

Not for the employee type individual where they are used to punching a clock, watching it, then leaving. If you are a driven, self starter, not satisfied with getting paid a salary and small wage increases while your managers and bosses make the big bucks of your labour, then maybe owning your own business might be for you. Great work environment - office provided along with front end staff and support. Less paperwork than my previous vocation, but paperwork nonetheless. If you have worked in the small business market before and have past contacts, this is a good option

      Cons

MANY FAIL AT THIS PART: you need to create and source clients - not just your mom or relatives. Worst case scenario: spend $50-$100 for $1,000s of dollars in financial money advice and strategies. (ie. Enriched Academy is selling information that has been shown at Primerica FOR FREE for over 40 years)

      Pros

Opportunity to make a lot of money. Great support. Positive work environment. Covers majority of costs for licensing and helps you pass exams. It is a lot about becoming a better person and personal gowth. My RVP has created a culture of integrity where we always do what is right for the client. I appreciate that I am not being asked to do anything I think is against my clients best interest in the name of money.

      Cons

Trying to do sales can be tough. It is a matter of talking to a lot of people about what you are doing, and there will be close friends and family that disappoint you when they won't support you.
