-Medical Insurance -Management -Fake Facade I was recruited by OneVision after I quit working for one of their partners. That should've been my first sign of the shadiness here. I was asked if I would be happy in the role, as I was coming from a role of leading my prior company and the position that OneVision wanted me for, was entry level. I told the HR director that I would be, if opportunities for advancement were available. He said that they were growing fast and he expected their to be “many opportunities with in the next 6-9 months”. So, I took the job KNOWING I would show my worth and move up quickly. I showed my worth but instead of moving up because of it, I was used. I was really good at my role and I quickly became their top performing agent. I was told that they metric showed that I was “4-6 times faster and more efficient than all other agents”. They used my talents for a number of things and even had me managing the queue on weekends. I worked on billing/collection projects, membership sales projects, etc. My manager asked me to be the designated person to train new employees. When I asked if there were a training outline to follow, my manager said "whatever you do, train them to do that. You are our Gold standard.” They gave me access to their back-end systems to pull/review calls for the quality management they also had me doing. Mind you, none of this was part of the role I was hired for. So, I was completing my duties as a Concierge and completing all of these extra tasks. Only twice was a given a few hours outside of the queue to complete these tasks, therefore, I completed most while working/taking calls. I was given numerous shout-outs, kudos and had wonderful posts being made about me from upper management all the time. The Director of our department even made a speech at a town hall meeting recently about how valuable I am and how much I care and take ownership of things. During what they refer to as "The Great Resignation" over 20 people quit out of our 60 person company. I worked with most of these people daily and the majority of them told me and others that they quit due to poor management, among other reasons. I was THE ONLY agent that worked overtime to carry the company through the shortage. I worked 7 days a week, sometimes 16 hours a day. I was told by quite a few members of management that they would’ve never made it through without my help. After a year of being the top-performing agent, I asked for a raise. I made the lowest possible salary on the team and complete the work of “4-6 agents” per management. I was met with a ten minute speech on how wonderful I was...just to be told no. I felt used and disrespected. I expressed that to management. I was told I was "emotional", though I never raised my voice, cussed, cried, etc. I just said how I felt, and that was disrespected. I also told management during that meeting that I would be looking for other employment. They told me they felt disappointed that I'd "jump to quitting so quickly". Yeah...I know, the audacity. This meeting was followed up by 2 more meetings that went the same way. I believe the goal was to get me to stay and shut up. OneVision was aware that I walked out of my last place of employment (their partner) because I was treated poorly. I made it clear from the beginning that I wouldn't stand for disrespect and would call it out. They told me that was encouraged and that one on one meetings are a “safe place”. I learned that wasn't true. I asked during the initial meeting about a promotion, as I was already acting in the role of QA and Training. They told me I was "always first on their list when they think about promotions" However, they said because of a comp analysis going on, they could not give anyone a raise, promotion or create any new position until it was over in the new year. They then turned around and created a new role for another employee, promoted them and gave them a raise. When I called this out, I was met with a message from my manager saying that I made an excellent point and she'd bring it to leadership....leadership replied with a generic answer and I again expressed that I was upset and felt used for my talents. I also stated that I did not want to participate in any extra duties/projects outside of my role. If they couldn't pay me for the extra, I wasn't working for free. I made it clear that I would continue to do great at the job I was hired for. The companies entire platform is sales. So, it shouldn't be surprising that they were able to sell themselves and others to me so well. I had high hopes but unfortunately, until they change their management, they will never be successful. All of the good ones leave once they catch on. Most of my coworkers had the same feeling I did, which was “wow, they really fooled me.” In the beginning, they make you feel like this is the next Apple and you are so important. That quickly fades and you see that the transparency they preach is actually horse crap. They called a meeting after the new year to fire me for being "unprofessional" by showing emotions during my meetings about the raise. Again, keep in mind that I never got loud or cursed or anything. I simply expressed that I felt used and disrespected. I left the Zoom meeting and quit before they could get their words out. Then I was told that leadership held a meeting with the team I worked with to tell them that I left because I was being immature because I didn't get my way. When in reality, I was demanding appropriate compensation and standing up for myself and my value. This is a huge loss for them. I’m not one to boost but, it really is. I did a lot for the company and brought a crap ton to the team. I was an amazing employee. However, this is a great opportunity for me to take my talents and worth to a place of employment that values what I offer and compensates me fairly.

I thought I was on a reality show

In a moment’s notice you can expect to be immersed in intense crisis scenarios as you help Boston’s elite face exciting challenges like: *changing batteries in remote controls! *checking ink levels in all in one printers! *turning things off and turning them on again! *pressing buttons! No problem is too trivial to accept, no hour strikes whilst OneVision rests, at the beck and call of a few one percenters are they! Much amaze. So technology. Wow. And at a starting rate of $8.02 an hour (for 168 hours per week), you have a chance to work while you sleep, work while you eat, work while your family sleeps and eats! Test your digital prowess, exercise your brains, expand your electronic horizons…elsewhere! But enjoy this whirlwind ride while it lasts. Without warning (verbal or written), their party limo driver kicks you to the curb. How many Boston millionaires does it take to change a lightbulb? One…Vision Resources!

Cons

The only cons are that there aren't enough hours in a week to dedicate to OneVision Resources

It sounds like you're describing classic technology support scenarios that are part of the job description. We're not ashamed of managing the entire experience for our clients ranging from the complex to the trivial. We know we're in the service business and as long as our clients treat us with respect we don't judge them in the least for the type of support they need. It's unfortunate that we didn't recognize the lack of fit early on in the interview process. We're always improving that. But that's why we parted ways with you after just several weeks of working together. I wish you the best of luck!

Toxic Culture

Pros

Good pay and benefits, free coffee, free snacks, there are some really great people working there. It's a nice office space.

Cons

The company culture is extremely toxic. Management doesn't seem to have a good sense of what the company strategy should be. Every little decision has to be endlessly hashed out. They make you fill out endless paperwork.

Agh! I had no idea we have endless paperwork given that we strive to be an all-digital, modern business. I specifically dug deeper after reading this and am working to get rid of our last file to ensure that we remove every bit of paperwork we can. Thank you for pointing that out. Long live Google Drive. Separately, successful startups end up that way by disrupting the status quo. We're no exception in our attempt to do just that.
