Pros
Extravagant parties, loads of swags. People being gung-ho about the 'work code'. Pep talks from the CEO. Opportunities to learn. There is an online university where you can learn for free. Knowledge is shared. People are generally supportive. Unlimited PTO.
Cons
It was good till 2022 and then GF was bought over by a large staffing firm. This was followed by a major re-org and then some more reshuffling. Lots of confusion. Some people were laid off from various departments and the management is not giving clear reasons for this. Managers themselves are not clear on what is happening and what is in store. Promotion is internal and you will find some people in high positions mostly due to loyalty and not necessarily competence. You must be visible and the loudest in the room/channels to gain respect and awards/promotions. The appraisal/feedback process is unclear. Your manager may not be transparent about your performance in all your regular 1x1's. And then down the lane there are unpleasant surprises! You are expected to learn anything and everything. If you have experience in area A, you might be put into a project in area X and you need to deliver. HR is not clear on the offboarding processes which leads to confusion.
