Pros
Flexibility - can work from home, the office and anything in between. Retreats - whilst fewer than advertised, they're still absolutely brilliant and incredibly generous. Learning - some of the engineers are some of the most talented I've worked with, you are likely to learn a lot from them. Good equipment - they make sure you have well specced machines and will actually ask what technology you prefer to work with. There are some incredible opportunities here as well to learn and develop and for career opportunities. Cutting edge technology - I really mean this but the technology is not boring. Very little real legacy in our stack and you get to learn some really cool stuff as a result.
Cons
Steep learning curve - the range of technologies used here is a lot and it can be super daunting to try and figure out how it all works. Fear of looking stupid - I know I'm not the only person who experiences this but there can be a bit of a culture of fear of looking stupid here. It's not intentional but just some of the tone of some of the more senior people when a question is asked has definitely made people more nervous about bringing questions forward.
