Pros
- Excellent discount on truly excellent product - Opportunities to grow in your career and shift teams - Many resources for professional growth available for free (LinkedIn learning, etc.) - Opportunity to be a big fish in a little pond. Many employees are junior. - As a woman, it's great to work for a company that hires so many women. In general I prefer it to a male-dominated workplace culture.
Cons
- Lacking the "fun" it had before COVID. I would no longer call it a fun culture that values its workers. - Employees are being forced to return to office 4 days/wk even for contractors, few opportunities for remote work unless grandfathered in. - Culture of weaponized positivity - Mixed competency of leadership in tech. Some great leaders who know their stuff, some ditzy yes-men with giant egos. - Salaries for tech are not industry standard.
