Pros

Working in store is nice, there is a focus on leadership and strengthening skills. There is direct feedback in the moment and a positive up beat work environment. It’s like extended high school or college vibe. (Ageism)

Cons

Lululemon’s GEC (guest education centre) has been the worst mind manipulation of a job I’ve ever had. What a hypocritical company. They are number one in performance activism. I’m just surprised I was brainwashed for so long thinking the people and company shared my values of “Our core values of personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, honesty, courage, connection, fun, and inclusion are lived by our people every day and are at the heart of our unique company culture. We live a life we love.” Aka we exploit anyone so we can stay on top. We’ll use black men as our way into the black community… while not supporting our actual employees or paying them live able wages. Well tell them we support matnerity care and pay for their leave but when they come back and have performance issue or mental health issues even with documented disabilities we’ll fire them! No room for neuro divergents here! No matter how courageously I’ve shared, no matter how braced I’ve been to speak up about the white privilege we uphold and therefore support white supremacy and socioeconomic differences. I spent 12 weeks in 2021 submitting my workplace accommodation through the standard. Anytime I had an issue they told me leave options. I’m actually here to destroy the patriarchy and any misogyny that fires me because I am a mom of two young brown girls. And I’d never let them work at a place like this. Dont ever whiten your self up to fit in with these people. No code switching!

Pros

Compensation Culture Autonomy Product Benefits

Cons

If you can’t prioritize your time, it can be easy to feel out of balance. I feel that at times and need to shift but with a strong leader, there’s always support to do that.

Pros

The benefits with the sweaty Pursuits is good and the insurance is good too! You get a team that you get to put together and get to know them and see what works for you guys to be successful in a processing shift!

Cons

The nights are long and very overworked. They ask a lot from you and usually they put the business before you. It’s always we need this and that from the managers but not actually taking time to help or to actually see that we are trying our best and if they actually worked a shift with us and saw the struggles they would understand more. They think it’s easy, when the weight of the store depends on us. You are also qualified as a Guest Experience lead since you have to do both trainings so the management do over utilise that and you will be doing two jobs. Even though it says in the description to support the floor but there’s a difference between supporting from time to time and doing it all the time where you are running the floor and the back at the same time but they’ll say “oh why isn’t this done?” Maybe because you’ve told me to help you out ? The are also very selective about who moves up to be a manager. No work life balance at all!
