Pros
The culture of the company is focused heavily on development: so whether you're looking to move up the career pipeline or just be a better version of yourself, the core of the company supports that. Managers act as coaches: helping you focus on improving your work performance or just achieving your personal or health goals, too. The best part of the job is the sense of community with your coworkers and free yoga/workout classes every week at almost any studio or gym.
Cons
It's a retail environment and your hours and commission are dictated by how well your store achieves their financial goals. If you are not working at a very busy store, your take home will suffer in the slow months and your hours will likely be cutback. Although the company and managers are eager to develop people to move up the pipeline, you must be patient as there may not always be a position open without forcing you to travel or relocate. I witnessed many people "stuck" as a part-time or full time worker waiting for a manager position to open up...months and years. Sometimes you are led on to believe you are being considered and developed for a manager position, only to learn that you "just aren't ready yet" without any tangible reasons. Just like any other job, if you get along with management, you're more likely to be recommended for opportunities. Managers continuously voice the importance of work/life balance, however there will be many store events, workouts, goal sessions, etc. that will happen outside of your shifts that you aren't paid for. Of course, you are always able to not attend but if you are looking for a promotion, it's expected that you are at every event.
