Pros

401k match, competitive pay, educational benefits, really the whole compensation package is great. Front line managers are also pretty great but that depends on what team you're on.

Cons

There was a time I would've easily given USAA a 5 star review. Unfortunately, things are progressively getting worse. They are now forcing people into the office even though production/quality goals are being met. They gaslighted hybrid employees by saying two days in the office but randomly decided that it's going to be three instead, and now they micromanage by keeping track of who goes in and how many days a week (I'm assuming by checking the badge scan system). If you want to put in a request to be fully remote, the process has been put on "hold" for almost a year now so even if you have an urgent matter that might require you to be remote (i.e. family emergencies of of state, etc.) you can't get an answer and are stuck. Even HR can't help you. They truly rather would let you go than just help you out in that regard. Upper management is the true devil here. They also over-hired in the financial crimes division so now there isn't enough work to go around and rumors of layoffs have started. It's ridiculous.

Pros

Life work balance, great benefit package and nice colleagues. The goal of the company is providing the best service to its members. So, they treat employees the best to encourage them to do the same for members.

Cons

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
