Pros
Overall company culture, atmosphere, shared values are remarkable. I feel relaxed, valued and authorized to do my daily job. The colleagues are generally supportive and welcoming. Working hours are flexible and we got a working from home policy. The number of WFH days differs from team to team. Some only has come to the office 1-2 times per month, some has to come in 2 days per week. Office location is nice with green area, fish pond, cafés, canteens and a riverside path for walks. As far as I know, our cafeteria package is the biggest that can possibly be granted in the country. The health package is also a huge advantage of working for SAP in Hungary.
Cons
Slow, mammoth processes hinder the innovation. As for every big companies, SAP has some annoying inefficient processes and improvements come slowly. Some managers prefer to avoid any sort of projects to change or innovate things and won't support you in your ideas. But there are some managers and leaders who really like to generate change rather than prevent it so if you are a highly motivated, change-driven person, you just have to find them and collaborate with them. Lately there has been serious cost cutting in the budget for team outings and company events. The company car policy got stricter too. Maybe this is the right financial strategy to do but as an employee I primarily experience it as a con.
