Pros

work-life balance, meal voucher, health insurance, salary above the average, company culture i.e. they care about your health, mental health, job stability.

Cons

After many years working in the company, I can tell that by far the worse cons is regarding the hiring processes. This probably depends on the position you are appliying for, but in most of the times I see people being hired due to politics stuff (they know the manager or know someone else in the area) instead of good skills. The hiring process in general lacks on transparency. This is pretty common issue in the corporate world but I have high expectations from SAP so this is still a problem here. The second major issue that I see in the company is the career progress, but this probably also depends on the area you are working on. Even if you are performing better than others, this wont make too much difference on your career progress like salary increasing or promotion.

Pros

I really liked my role at SAP. After being a cloud Customer Success Manager supporting strategic clients for several years, I moved into a group doing digital customer outreach including producing newsletters, release enablement, webcasts, documentation, event registrations, etc. Salary and bonuses were good, no complaints there.

Cons

No real cons for the job that I was in, except that our group was eliminated by the corporate restructuring and reduction in workforce in North America in 2025. I would have loved to stay but unfortunately we probably showed up on a restructuring spreadsheet somewhere and it was determined that our services were no longer needed. We off-boarded most of our work to other existing employees (who already had full time jobs), which felt unfair to them, but that is how it shook out.
