Pros

Great company, great mission, amazing people for the most part. You can build a great career here if you can avoid the poor managers or if you know how to manage insecure micromanagers that lack a basic understanding of the businesses that they manage.

Cons

Many leaders within the risk org have lost sight of the customer and are solely concerned with personal brand building and optics not solving customer problems. Our best people are leaving and it’s a bit if adverse selection at this point for who is still here. There are some very poor middle managers that are driving away the best high performers. An example is a M2 manager forcing their leads to checkin on each member of the team at 5:31pm to ensure there are still butts in seats. It’s 2024 we’re a tech company, output is what matters not minutes worked.

Pros

I really enjoyed working with Intuit because it was a fast paced environment that pushed me to grow professionally. I appreciated the strong focus on customer experience, the support from leadership, and the opportunity I had to advance into a Tier 2 role within the same season. It strengthened my communication, problem solving, and multitasking skills while allowing me to help customers during stressful situation

Cons

One challenge for me was feeling somewhat disconnected from upper management and operations leadership at times. Most of my direct support and communication came from my team leads, who were very hands on and helpful. I tend to work best in environments where there is strong visibility and engagement from leadership across all levels.
