Be wary of the FAKE REVIEWS! - Associate Commercial Director Info-Tech Research Group Employee Review

Pros

There was lots of training sessions - although it was very old school hard sales approach

Cons

Psychopaths and narcissists will survive and be part of the frat house club but if you're a genuine sincere person - you will come across as a weakling and not hungry enough for sales in the eyes of management. Trips to Canada for new management or advisors to meet the team and assimilate with the team but not for sales staff - makes you already feel unvalued as a new employee (not very motivating)

We appreciate the review. However, there are some inaccuracies we want to address. For example, we are unsure about the reference to “fake reviews” comes from, as we have an internal policy against this to ensure that all reviews are transparent and free from conflicts of interest. Employees, current and former, as you have indicated yourself to be, are always welcome to share honest reviews about their experience. HR does not post, nor do we directly ask anyone to post something. The reviews shared by employees are done so independently and of their own volition. You also reference “trips to Canada for new management or advisors to meet the team and assimilate” but this is also not true. While we have remote and in-office employees on both sides of the border, travel for new managers or advisors is not part of our standard onboarding program. We have successfully been connected to various teams across multiple time zones since before March 2020, and so travel is often not required. We very much appreciate the “Advice to Management” you shared. While we do have a high, yet achievable bar set for performance, our management teams are committed to coaching and developing teams to meet their highest potential and achieve the rewards associated with hitting and exceeding set goals. We have invested in further learning and development for all our employees, including managers, and take very seriously the feedback received via our annual and monthly engagement surveys as well as from one-on-one conversations and discussions. Your note indicates that there is more to be done, which we take to heart. Thank you again for sharing that insight with us.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. As a growth-focused organization, we pride ourselves on providing ample development opportunities both on the job and in more formal education environments. We would like to address your concerns with team design, senior management, and time management, but regret there is not enough detail to properly comment on each aspect. What we can share is that this is a fast-paced industry that requires exceptional time management from all employees, regardless of the team they’re on. We continue to invest in training for all levels of employees, including senior management and leadership, to ensure that teams receive the support needed to meet targets and enjoy the process while doing so. We are all working together to achieve ambitious goals for the company’s next chapter. Finally, our team structure is designed to facilitate a collaborative environment in which we can be proud of the work we do. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your time with Info-Tech, including working with your colleagues and the learning provided. We wish you the best in your future endeavors!

Pros

The commission structure can be attractive for strong performers. The company also provides useful sales tools, including Salesforce and Salesloft, which help support prospecting and customer engagement efforts.

Cons

Sales expectations were extremely demanding, with a heavy emphasis on outreach volume. Representatives were expected to maintain very high daily activity levels even on days filled with customer meetings, making it difficult to balance quantity with meaningful engagement.
