The place is fun, but the work isn't. - Producer Electronic Arts Employee Review

Pros

The environment is very informal and the people are very creative, for the most part. They seem to put a lot of resources in to making EA fun.

Cons

They don't allow much telecommuting and it's generally considered bad form, as if they don't trust that employees are actually working when home. That seems old fashioned compared to the tech industry as a whole. They also do the minimum to encourage the use of public transportation. Despite all the fun stuff, or maybe because of it, EA has very, very long employee retention. Ordinarily this is a good thing, but it can also create an atmosphere of stagnation when people are set in their ways and slow moving.

Pros

Fast paced startup mindset in an established corporate ladder

Cons

Privatization might cause headcount reduction, change the tempo and culture in the organization. 🤞

Pros

A lot of good and smart people that are able to create good work together.

Cons

Restructuring every year, nepotism, no clear path for career progression at all, senior leadership isn’t communicating clearly, acquisition communication has been non-existent, layoffs are a constant factor and fear, unclear why some people get promoted and many high performers do not
