Pros

- Decent compensation - Free coffee / tea - Downtown Toronto - 9-5 culture

Cons

- Culture of 'busy bodies' that backstab people. Trying to get colleagues fired seems to be a hobby of most people at this organization. - Inflated job titles. Someone who would be called a Manager somewhere else is called a Director at CIBC. A Sr. Consultant is a Sr. Manager. This has caused small people to feel they are big and important. They feel entitled to be respected and get upset when new hires don't respect a 27 year old "Sr. Mgr". Ridiculous. - Sr. Leadership are incredibly two faced and rule by intimidation. Being honest with your own manager is career suicide at this place.

Pros

-People were friendly and would do coffee chats/one-on-one lunches. -Other interns were great. -Base compensation as an analyst is on the higher end.

Cons

-Feedback from intern manager only given at the end of a rotation differed greatly from what team members would directly tell me which was confusing. Makes me think people are only nice on the surface. -Team members prioritized some interns over others in terms of work given and time spent. -Teams in the same product group had wildly different work life balance with some working 70+ hours a week and others working close to 40. -Has high turnover overall due to lower compensation at the Director+ level.
