Pros
In the past the company had a genuine interest in employee engagement, delivering on best practice learning, helping you focus on your career and creating lots of opportunities to learn and grow. Managers had a clear framework for what to do as a leader who built engagement and performance and pay were linked to the results. Brilliant. Some of this still exists with individual leaders who really understood this and really lived by it, there are still many great people there today.
Cons
A complete lack of focus on investment in people over the last few years. The rot began with dropping the ball on genuinely measuring engagement and linking this to peoples remuneration and recognition. Also, has been slow to respond to the necessity of genuine innovation in a fast changing payments environment, lots of half hearted underfunded initiatives and a real lack of leadership or visible understanding of the challenges ahead.
