Pros

- opportunity to choose what you work on - room to grow as the company is still small - coworkers are all nice reasonable people

Cons

- terrible comp when pnl is low, you will get no bonus, salary cuts, and comp restructuring when pnl is high, you will get the ceo cutting pre-agreed comp and pnl split equity contract is vague and ambiguous. realistically there will be no dividends as they will reinvest all profits. - toxic upper management you will be openly berated and screamed at for any mistakes big or small if the ceo is in a bad mood you are expected to commit 100% and sacrifice family, health, etc. for the company (or you will face threats of being fired and told your worthless)

Pros

There is a lot of talented people working on very difficult problems. Employees are focused on a blend of both short and long term success. Company fosters environment of collaboration and open mindedness. Company values their employees and openly communicates with them. Management are top performers at successful trading companies. Upside is massive in terms of where the company is headed. Focus is on executing ideas successfully. Employees thrive if they are willing to take ownership and push boundaries.

Cons

Long hours since the company is in its nascent stages.

Pros

- Everyone can (and does) make a noticeable impact - Growth potential - we have bi-weekly meetings to discuss what is and isn't going well, and the turnaround on feedback is thorough and thoughtful. There's clear mobility, and it seems very fair - There's a clear vision for the future and a good infrastructure for measuring impact of new strategies or trading new products - Knowledge is shared across the board, and management is very open about what they're planning for the company, what needs to be worked on across the company on a quarterly basis

Cons

- The work is challenging. There's a lot of work left to optimize the current operation. If you don't like working hard to learn and add value, this won't be a great place for you. - Benefits are good (great insurance, unlimited PTO, equity), but bonuses are definitely below industry standard. I know this is because the company is still young and has ambitions for rapid expansion
