Pros

Flexible work hours. Nice and approachable people to work with (except for a few sour apples, as in any work environment). Middle management recognizes good work done by employees and acknowledges this.

Cons

No structured or formal training program for junior technical staff (scientists / engineers). Almost everything is learned on the go and on the job. Management's main focus is on the short term, therefore (as was already said in a another review), employee success and value is measured almost solely on chargeability of a project, and not on professional development. Seems like the career advancement path is a very long journey, so growth within the company will take a long time for junior people joining.

Pros

benefit is normal, get overtime pay

Cons

- Irregular working hours - Weather dependable - Only billable work can be put on timesheet, if not enough workload is given for that week, you have to use PTO or banked overtime (It is not employee responsibility to find work!) - You spend your own time and money for travelling to office, maybe you only get 2 or 3 hours of billable work which is not worth for the day - Do not get paid when you are not scheduled to work but employed as a full-time salaried

Pros

- Flexible work (hybrid) - Benefits are fine - Bonuses are a possibility

Cons

- Benefits could be a lot better - Owners/Upper Management absolve themselves of all responsibilities for department growth, training, and resources, only concerning themselves of profit without any help in getting there - Bonuses are near impossible on smaller projects, and are taken by company - Lower level staff and PMs are responsible for hiring, organizing, securing projects, maintaining department budgets, working overtime to ensure 100% utilization, for very little growth/pay/bonus opportunities - Not an enjoyable office environment, no company culture - Benefits are not flexible - Not innovative, old-school perspective in training, growth opportunities - Sexist commentary from upper management - A "bare minimum", toe-the-line type of company
