Pros

Friday Lunches / Snacks / Interesting problems to solve

Cons

This is the most toxic and vile work environment I've ever experienced or witnessed! The Co-Founder/CEO's solution to ALL day-to-day typical work issues is to cuss, belittle, overreact and completely bully employees. This company has a turnover rate higher than any other business and it can be almost 100% completely directly traced back to the CEO. There is about 5 employees in the company that has a tenor greater than 1 year due to the high turnover rate. Disgruntled depressed inexperienced employees training new employees. Don't consider a position with the company, I wish I would have read the reviews

Thank you for sharing your concerns, we take this feedback very seriously. We are growing quickly and know that our incredible staff are working hard to support that growth, as recognised by winning Deloitte Fast 50 UK Technology and Red Herring Top 100 Europe awards. However, our expanded people function is working equally hard to ensure that Distributed maintains a people-first approach. The company is rolling out company-wide sessions for giving and receiving feedback and creating a safe space for this to take place. Ultimately, the health and wellbeing of our employees comes first and we strive to ensure that our working environment is a positive one, that’s why it is so important for us to be recognised with a global award for Outstanding Reward & Recognition. We’d be happy to discuss your feedback further so we can improve wherever possible

Pros

Work can be a great brain teaser

Cons

The ultimate tech bros club - the ceo regularly talks about how he’s on the Aspergers spectrum, perhaps he thinks that’s his excuse for how he speaks to people. He seems cool, interesting and chilled at first, but his anger is explosive and abusive. After some time you’ll realise it’s just you it’s directed at. And you’ll notice that interestingly you’re also, surprise surprise, the only woman.

However, our expanded people function is working equally hard to ensure that Distributed maintains a people-first approach. We are prioritising and celebrating diversity and inclusion more than ever, and have engaged in a partnership with a talent partner that has a specific focus on D&I. Pros

- Some legit talent in the team. Limited to the day-to-day workers however. - Lunches - Nice office

Cons

- Leadership (and advisors) pander to CEO. - Entirely misleading proposition. - An offshore digital development agency pretending to be a “hot tech-start” - all development is carried out by a small team of computer science grads in China. - High turnover. Once the CEO feels the “Distributed narrative” is challenged by a team member, don’t expect to see them again. - Not a real tech company

Thank you for sharing your concerns, we take this feedback very seriously. However, our fast growth and expanding pool of customers is testament to a model that delivers a solution to a major market demand and has been recognised by winning Deloitte Fast 50 UK Technology and Red Herring Top 100 Europe awards. Culturally, our people-first focus is important to us, and we are rolling out company-wide sessions for giving and receiving feedback in a safe space, to ensure we keep improving all our processes.
