Pros

Deephow has an unbelievably advanced product, but it has much more room to go before it's fully fleshed out.

Cons

Organizational chaos is at the front here, communication is the opposite of being streamlined. Nobody really knows what anyone is doing at any point in time. Top-down transparency is completely shielded, leaving employees to wonder when their day is going to come. Many people have been cut from the company with no prior warnings and no one addresses the elephant in the room afterward with a concrete message to assure others that the termination was based on XYZ. Money isn't spent in the areas it needs to be spent in and cutting costs is always at the top of mine. Big on the "if you can do it cheaper, it must be better".

We appreciate your feedback as we do encourage and promote an environment of free speech and communication. However, we have a very different perspective on the topics you mentioned above. We are sorry for the impression you had because it is neither the experience we designed nor the experience the large majority of our DeepHowers have. Furthermore, let us take time to clarify our initiatives, programs, and position in each of the topics you mentioned. Patrik, Wei, and I started the DeepHow in July 2018, and our mission is to empower workers to digitize and transfer their know-how effectively and efficiently by leveraging the power of AI and videos. It has been an amazing journey. We have built a global team with 60+ passionate and dedicated DeepHowers. From the very beginning, we had a clear goal to build a strong culture. Our core values are 1) User-centered and customer-focused; 2) Innovation and technology-driven; 3) Open, respectful, and one team; 4) Ownership and take initiatives; and, 5) Act fast, fail fast, and grow fast. The values are deeply rooted in our beliefs and backgrounds, exemplified by our leadership team, and embraced by our 60+ DeepHowers ranging from product and engineering to sales, marketing, customer success, and operations team. We’ve worked hard over the last few years to add clear structure and processes to DeepHow that are often not found in a start-up environment, such as org charts, job descriptions with clear expectations, company/departmental/position KPIs, and a quarterly + annual feedback cycle. We encourage every team member to share ideas and ask questions at our monthly all-hands meetings, and our leadership team, managers, and HR always welcome and remain available for private 1-1 conversations. We’ve been fortunate to have very little turnover since founding DeepHow in 2018. While we have had to part ways with several employees, we’ve followed a consistent and documented process and as such, there are situations in which it’s not appropriate to share details about a particular employee’s performance or reason for leaving the organization. Regardless, we share an appropriate level of details with remaining employees on a need-to-know basis, and employees are encouraged to talk to their manager, any of the Founders, or HR at any time with concerns. To speak to the organization’s transparency, DeepHow has a relatively flat organizational structure that allows for our team to work and communicate cross-functionally, yet still interact often with the leadership team. Like any fast-growing start-up, we are always looking for people who believe in our vision and mission and will thrive in our culture. Should you have any other suggestions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us at hr@deephow.com. Thanks, Sam CEO & Co-Founder

Interesting product - bad management

Pros

Company addresses a very important issue in the industry with a sleek product. User experience is what makes it stand out, while the so much touted AI still has to deliver real value. Hopefully customers will get to see some of that before money runs out.

Cons

Management is unexperienced and sometimes naive in taking questionable or incosistent decisions. Further on, it has no caliber to build relationships with employees in a professional, respectful and collaborative way, despite repeating empty words around company culture. Extremely disappointing and a big threat for the future of the company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our award-winning, AI-powered video training platform, Stephanie, has been trusted by many manufacturing leaders, like AB InBev, Ford, Nissan, Peloton, Siemens, Stanley Black & Decker. Winning the contracts with all these reputable companies requires a lengthy and rigorous process of evaluation and review of our product and technology maturity, clear value and impact, and quantifiable ROIs. We are proud that all our customers and end users love our innovative and proven solution. It is surprising to see how different our understating is on our product and AI capabilities and impact. Unfortunately, we did not do a good job of transferring this understanding to you as a Deephower. We will be looking forward to seeing how we can improve this communication internally. Before we started DeepHow, our founding and leadership teams all spent decades working for Fortune 500 companies and had a proven track record of driving digital innovation for various manufacturing and service industries. In fact, our leadership team has a combined 70+ years of experience. All major decisions are vetted by our Board of Directors, made up of investors from some of the most successful venture capital funds and tech companies in the world. We’ve worked consistently and diligently to solicit feedback and actively listen to what our employees’ experiences have been while at DeepHow, and to then use that feedback to better the organization. Should you have any other suggestions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us at hr@deephow.com. Thanks, Sam CEO & Co-Founder
